About Me

Get to know your assistant!

Hi, I'm Kristin!

I’m an author assistant, beta reader, and lifelong book lover who believes authors shouldn’t have to do everything alone.

I came to this work through two paths that turned out to be the same one.

I’ve been reading my whole life (the kind of reader who finishes a book and immediately needs to talk about it, who notices when a chapter drags, or a character turn doesn’t land).

I’ve also spent years working behind the scenes in small business support, helping driven people stay organized and show up consistently without burning out.

Combining those two things felt obvious once I saw it. Authors need someone who genuinely loves books and knows how to manage details and keep things moving. That’s exactly what I do.

I have an English degree, years of informal beta reading and proofreading experience, and an appreciation for what it takes to write and publish a book. I know how much work goes into a manuscript before anyone else ever reads it.

Why Authors?

I’ve been a reader for as long as I can remember. I was that kid who loved silent reading time in class. I know it’s cliche, but books have gotten me through life. I want to support them now.

Another reason? Authors are basically running a business on top of creating something meaningful. They’re passionate and driven, and they just need a calm, capable person in their corner to handle the rest. That’s where I come in!
